EPILOGUE

The Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America was dissolved in 1976.
It then merged with the Textile Workers Union to form the ACTWA,  which in 1992 merged with the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union. With shrinking numbers of employees, they disappeared
into other unions.

Abe’s great-granddaughter Alyssa is continuing his fight for a fairer workplace.
Her union is the Graduate Employee Organization-UAW local 2322.
She is the co-chair, and this is her second term.
